What does your business do in the Holiday spirit?

I came across an article today on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce website about what some businesses are doing in the spirit of giving. Some companies in the article, such as Coca-Cola and Allstate do amazing things both in their communities and nationwide. The article got me thinking about what other, maybe smaller businesses may be doing this Holiday season to give back, that never makes headlines. For instance, here in our office we started a “Help Give the Kids Gifts” donation jar and tomorrow will be taking what we collected to the Salvation Army bell ringer at Kroger. Not near the $1.5 million that Harris Corp. could raise, but myself and others in the office are still left with the feeling that we made a difference in someones Holiday season.So I’m curious to know what your business, or even just you personally are doing this Holiday season for charity, volunteer work, or just to brighten someone elses day. Hopefully your peers can get some ideas on how to help out in 2009, and show that it’s not the size of the organization, or the size of the check that matters.
